Birthday Listings. This program is for Comm's who have a chapter website. It is a mixture of a Tikkun Olam and Communications program, so I like to call it a 'Tikkun O Comm' program. Chapter members pay money to TO to have their birthday put on the chapter website and sent out to the chapter e-mail list. This ensures that birthdays in the chapter are never forgotten and people can feel special about being in a chapter e-mail.
Pelefone- This program is a copy of the game "telephone" and is a way to teach key phrases in Hebrew!! Have everyone sit circle quietly and explain that they cannot change the word(s). Have the first person think of a hebrew word or phrase and tell the person next to them. When the phrase gets to the last person, make them say it outload. If it worked correctly, the answer should be the same word(s) you started with.
Notepassing 101- Have everyone sit close to each other. Split everyone into pairs and have then seperate so they are far apart. Write a note to your person across the room. You must then pass your note to your person without getting up from your seat and you can not write the persons name on the note. This requires everyone to talk to the person next to them and tell them where the note is supposed to go. *Works well with extreamly large groups*
Phonebook- Have everyone add their phone numbers to a list, then pass out the list in a neatly designed booklet. This helps with keeping USYers in touch with one another
